Materials & Care Guide

Materials:

18k Gold PVD Plated Stainless Steel

Made from a base metal of 316 stainless steel and triple PVD plated in 18k gold. Stainless steel is very durable and tarnish resistant. PVD plating is 10 times thicker than standard flash plated high street jewelry and will last years when following our care guide. Stainless steel is hypoallergenic, meaning our pieces won't leave you with green skin and we never use lead or nickel. To help prolong shine and lifespan, we advise to limit contact with water, liquids and chemicals.

14k- 18k Gold Filled

The term “gold-filled jewelry” refers to items with a core of base metal with an outer layer of solid gold. Created by mechanically bonding 14k gold (at least 5% gold) to the surface of the base metal using heat and pressure. This is a permanent bond so the gold is durable, tarnish resistant and can last many years when following our care guide. Perfect for people looking a for an affordable alternative yet look-a-like to solid gold.

Care Guide:

    Is your jewelry 'waterproof'?
'Waterproof' jewelry is made from a base metal of stainless steel and is gold plated using a specific process called PVD coating. This process makes the jewelry more durable when in regular contact with water. However, it does not mean that the gold plating will not fade over time, it just takes much longer to fade than the average flash plated jewelry.
The only truly waterproof jewelry is solid gold. Gold PVD plated or gold-filled jewelry is an affordable alternative, especially for the girls who love to keep adding new pieces to their ever-growing jewelry collection!

Our jewelry is only made from gold PVD plated stainless steel or gold filled materials. This means your jewelry will last many years with the proper care and won't turn your skin green - so when you can, just remove your jewels before contact with water and chemicals.

    Caring and Storing

    • Any lotions, deodorants, perfumes, household items can seriously harm your gold plated jewels and discolor them over time.
    • All stainless steel based jewelry can be worn in water. However, constant contact with water and liquids can reduce the lifespan of your jewelry so we advise to remove when exercising, washing your hands, showering, swimming or doing anything that involves moisture.

        Cleaning

After wearing, clean your jewelry carefully with a soft, non-abrasive, soft jewelry cloth. This helps maintain or bring back its shine.

        Caring for your pearls

        • Wipe pearls gently with a lint free cloth and store in dry place.

        • For a pearl to keeps its luster, it’s best to remove pearl jewelry before any contact with oils or lotion products.

*We use delicate materials such as gold and silver, over time jewelry can fade naturally due to multiple factors including general wear and tear, exposure to moisture, chemicals and air. This is not considered a manufacturing fault.

All pieces are finished with an anti-tarnish coating to ensure the plating stays in tip top condition for as long as possible. All styles are hypoallergenic, nickel, lead free and won't turn your skin green!
